What you will be doing:
As the Sr. Manager Marketplace, you will lead the development and execution of the strategy for Staples’ Marketplace business. You’ll build a new channel, optimize sales performance, and manage key marketplace relationships while driving operational excellence to scale the business. Your responsibilities will include analyzing market trends, identifying new product opportunities, optimizing listings and promotions, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer experience. You'll also manage and grow Staples’ Marketplace account, troubleshoot seller performance issues, and develop account-specific growth plans. Leveraging data insights, you will drive process improvements, conduct competitive analysis, and adjust pricing strategies to ensure Staples remains ahead in a dynamic market. In addition, you’ll build and mentor a team of eMarketplace specialists and analysts, fostering a collaborative culture focused on marketplace optimization and compliance.

What’s needed: Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, eCommerce, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in e-commerce, marketplace management, retail technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of management experience in digital storefront operations.
What’s needed: Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree (MBA or advanced degree).
- Experience with eMarketplace advertising and PPC campaign management.
- Familiarity with automation tools and AI-driven marketplace analytics.
- Knowledge of fulfillment strategies and supply chain logistics for online retail.
- Prior experience in a high-growth eCommerce environment.
- Experience managing major online marketplaces such as Amazon 3P is a plus.

The salary range represents the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. The specific base pay may be influenced by a variety of factors to include the candidate's experience, skill set, education, geography, business considerations, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for bonuses, or other forms of variable compensation.
