What you will be doing:

The Senior Liability Risk Specialist is the driving force behind the management of Automobile, General Liability, Property, Subrogation, and Salvage claims across all U.S. jurisdictions. You’ll take ownership of claim strategy, collaborate directly with brokers, insurance carriers, legal counsel, and third-party administrators (TPAs), and ensure claims are resolved swiftly and cost-effectively. In this role, you’ll protect company assets and balance sheet integrity by actively managing claim outcomes, litigation exposure, reserves, and total cost of risk. You’ll also lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency, reporting accuracy, communication clarity, and financial controls throughout the claim lifecycle.

What’s needed: Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 3+ years experience in liability claims, risk management, insurance, or related fields
  • Demonstrated experience managing Automobile, General Liability, or Property claims
  • Experience working with third-party administrators, insurers, or legal counsel
  • Proficiency with RMIS/claims systems (e.g., Origami, Riskonnect) and Excel or BI dashboards

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional designation such as ARM, CPCU, AIC, or similar

  • Oversaw claims involved in litigation and worked in partnership with defense attorneys
  • Performed analysis to identify underlying causes and acted to prevent future losses
  • Experienced working with sizable, multi-state companies and navigating intricate risk scenarios
  • Contributed to enhancing processes and strengthening claims governance

The salary range represents the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. The specific base pay may be influenced by a variety of factors to include the candidate's experience, skill set, education, geography, business considerations, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for bonuses, or other forms of variable compensation.
