What you’ll be doing:
- Prepare and send vendor invoices, review and code publisher payables, gather basic billing information using established and defined financial procedures, and enter invoice data into internal tracking portals
- Support internal financial reporting requirements and provide necessary documentation for internal and external audit processes
- Contribute to centralized Excel workbooks & internal documentation to enable transparent tracking of vendor contracts, purchase orders, collections statuses, and monthly revenue actualization
- Work on special projects as directed
- Compile journal entries monthly and maintain two day close
- Analyze accounts monthly through balance sheet reconciliation process
- Partner with other departments to create and maintain processes to properly account for respective areas on the balance sheet
- Maintain SOX documents and support Internal and External auditors performing control testing.
- Review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for accuracy and completeness; with a focus on Inventory and Shrink
- Support Fulfillment Centers (FCs) through email requests/ service now tickets.
- Research and resolve Inventory variances.
- Monitor accuracy and completeness over FC warehouse management system conversions.
- Support Staples selling initiatives/projects.
What you bring to the table:
- Experience working in agency, retail, or professional services environments in finance, accounting and/or billing roles
- Experience and/or willingness to learn about external billing & collections platforms
- Understanding of multi-step & split path invoicing systems, including ACH/credit card, contract-based invoicing, and direct invoicing
- Strong decision making, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills & attention to details
- Outstanding written & verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of digital media channels, operations, and online advertising
Qualifications:
What’s needed- Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in accounting and /or accounts receivable /billing

- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or another related field
