Merchandise Specialist

What you’ll be doing:
- Launch features to meet business needs in partnership with engineering, design and business stakeholders.
- Estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and rollout system changes.
- Achieves goals by communicating how individual and team contributions align with Staples' vision and the team’s objectives.
- Possesses an organizational awareness to effect results by influencing partners through appropriate organization channels
- Incorporates innovation into daily execution
What you bring to the table:
- Strong organization skills with ability to multi-task
- Ability to work independently and execute across multiple groups
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Support the Category Merchant in driving profitable sales for the company.
- Work collaboratively with partners from across the business to curate and manage assortments
- and promotions in our systems, liaise with vendors and perform other category management
- activities across our dotcom and/or business-to-business eCommerce platforms.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and possess strong communications and
- organizational skills, are detail-oriented and enjoy working both collaboratively and independently
- to solve problems.
- Ability to work independently and execute across multiple groups.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Organized with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to learn fast and think on your feet.
- Skilled in Microsoft Suite (MS Excel skills a MUST)
What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:
- 1+ years’ prior work experience in business or related field
- 1+ years using Microsoft Suite
What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degreeor 1-2 years’ experience in business or related field
- Intermediate level systems experience with databases, AS400 systems and spreadsheets
- 6+ months merchandising and print experience
- 6+ months analytical/financial experience
