The Acquisition Account Manager markets and sells SPP products and services to new and existing customers and manages enterprise, contracted client relationships. The Acquisition Account Manager is responsible for customer satisfaction and for the delivery of commitments made by the company. The Acquisition Account Manager is responsible for achieving team sales and profit goals and designing and implementing strategic business plans and reviews for Enterprise Accounts. The Acquisition Account Manager works with the Strategic Acquisition Account Manager to forecast sales figures and achieve/exceed those objectives, collaborates with other sales support teams to ensure ordering and delivery of sales, and strategically plans for key Enterprise Accounts. The Acquisition Account Manager handles all incoming quote requests over $10,000 for Enterprise Accounts (key major accounts who spend over $300,000 per year, have a contract with SPP, and have both program and special-order business requirements) and Non-Enterprise Accounts, as well as completes the order-entry form to submit order requests to Special Order Team. The Acquisition Account Manager works with the Account Consultant to service all Enterprise and Non-Enterprise Account quote requests under $10,000.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop and execute proactive marketing and business development strategies to identify new clients and drive organic growth for existing key accounts.
- Work closely with the Business Development Director to design target account strategies, prospect lists, and implement best practices for account growth.
- Achieve revenue, gross margin, and account targets through strategic sales activities, including prospecting, networking, and pipeline management.
- Handle incoming quote requests over $10,000 for enterprise accounts and ensure orders are processed efficiently in collaboration with sales support teams.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of client contracts and manage account profitability, discussing results with both internal teams and clients.
- Respond promptly to inquiries, issues, and customer complaints, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
- Lead and coordinate efforts with internal resources to support client growth and ensure the delivery of commitments made by Staples.
- Research, prepare, and present competitive quotes and proposals to maximize profitability and market reach.
- Collaborate with program and special order teams to ensure seamless delivery of products and services.
What you bring to the table:
- Proven track record in B2B sales, with 3-5 years of sales and/or customer service experience, ideally within the Promotional Merchandise Industry.
- Strong business acumen in account management, strategic planning, and negotiation.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.
- Bilingual capabilities are a plus.
What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or college diploma in sales, marketing, business, or equivalent work experience in a B2B sales environment.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in sales or customer service.
What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the Promotional Merchandise Industry.
- CSP designation or CPSA graduate is preferred.
- Bilingual capabilities.
