We use customer data and analytics to help us understand and improve our customers’ experiences, drive customer retention and encourage brand loyalty. Our team is diverse, with skillsets and responsibilities ranging from graphic design, content creation and performance marketing to internal communications and loyalty & rewards programs. We work together to provide expertise and guidance, so that the Staples brand is well represented in all areas.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage and develop a team of two project managers to ensure flawless project management & program execution, continuous improvements, and professional development 
  • Oversee all dedicated and trigger email campaigns and programs, partnering closely with customer marketing and analytics teams to maximize effectiveness 
  • Constantly assess and audit our current state of email production processes – look for efficiency gains, areas of automation opportunity, and cost savings 
  • Track project status on a regular basis to ensure deadlines are met 
  • Develop an elegant and efficient email process that is optimized and constantly evolves 
  • Coordinate & disseminate email campaign performance & optimization recommendations 
  • Help manage overall email operations budget and identify opportunities for cost efficiency 
  • Act as key stakeholder in email service provider relationship 
  • Model the professionalism & industriousness expected across the team 
  • Educate the team on email best practices, tips & tricks to make their jobs easier and our emails better 

What you bring to the table:

  • Results-oriented professional looking to make data-driven decisions to drive business 
  • A collaborative leader that works hard to be inclusive both internally with associates and externally with other partners 
  • Ready to bring innovative approaches to maximize the effectiveness of programs and teams 
  • Previous enterprise-level email program experience 
  • Ability to partner with various business units to foster collaboration and keep projects moving 
  • Understanding of relational databases and utilizing customer data in marketing campaigns 
  • Robust knowledge of email industry & best practices 
  • Proactive and self-motivated work style with proven ability to manage multiple projects and get things done 

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience executing marketing campaigns

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
