What you’ll be doing:

Manage daily activities of accounting function. Review journal entries, analyze accounts, and oversee accounting processes in line with generally accepted accounting principles.

  • Oversee accounting, reporting and forecasting of respective areas on the balance sheet. 
  • Ensure sufficient controls are in place with respect to these areas and maintain related SOX narratives. 
  • Manage the team to achieve a two-day close. 
  • Ensure thorough analysis is completed and risk assessment performed through balance sheet reconciliation process. 
  • Review detailed accounts reconciliations completed by on-shore or Cap Gemini off-shore accounting team 
  • Partner with Cap Gemini off-shore team to process map areas to drive and implement efficiencies in processes
  • Support senior management with complex issues and ad hoc analyses
  • Partner with our technical accounting team to implement new accounting standards
  • Support internal and external auditors on audit requests. 
  • Perform ad hoc analysis
  • Identify opportunities to design and implement process efficiencies
  • Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to 2+ associates

What you bring to the table:

  • Highly motivated
  • Strong analytical, organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work within a team.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong background in managing corporate accounting for areas like payroll, benefits, and marketing, while also preparing and reviewing month-end reconciliations.
  • Demonstrated success in supporting senior management with complex issues and providing detailed ad hoc analysis.
  • Experience working with internal and external auditors, ensuring smooth audit processes through timely and accurate reporting.
  • Commitment to driving process improvements, participating in SOX compliance, and completing special projects to enhance overall accounting operations.

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8 yrs years of experience 
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Public Accounting experience

  • CPA
